Basis for processing
We process personal data in accordance with the Swiss Federal Act on Data Protection. Where the European Union’s General Data Protection Regulation applies, processing is based in particular on the performance of a contract or pre-contractual steps, legal obligations, your consent, or our legitimate interests in providing a secure and user-friendly website and communicating with you.
We retain personal data only for as long as the relevant purpose requires or statutory retention duties apply.
Visiting this website
When you access this website, your browser sends technically necessary data to the hosting provider. This may include your IP address, date and time, requested page, volume of data transferred, referrer, browser and operating system. These server logs help provide a secure and stable service, diagnose errors and prevent misuse.
We store your choice in the cookie banner locally in your browser (localStorage), not in a cookie and not on our servers. Analytics cookies are set only with your consent (see “Web analytics with Google Analytics”). We do not use marketing or advertising cookies.
Web analytics with Google Analytics
With your consent, we use Google Analytics 4, a web analytics service provided by Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland, and Google LLC, 1600 Amphitheatre Parkway, Mountain View, CA 94043, USA. It shows us which pages are used and how, so that we can improve the website. Without your consent, Google Analytics is not loaded and no data is sent to Google.
Google Analytics records in particular the pages you visit, time spent, scroll depth, clicks on external links and downloads, the page you came from (referrer), device type, browser, operating system, screen size and approximate location (country, region, city). To do so, it sets the cookies “_ga” and “_ga_<ID>”, which recognize your browser pseudonymously and are stored for up to two years. Your IP address is used only to determine the approximate location and is not stored by Google Analytics 4. We have disabled Google Signals and the use of the data for advertising. The data collected is deleted after 14 months.
Google may also process the data in the US. Google LLC is certified under the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework and the Swiss-U.S. Data Privacy Framework; standard contractual clauses apply in addition. For more information, see Google’s privacy policy at policies.google.com/privacy.
The legal basis is your consent (where the GDPR applies, Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR). You can withdraw it at any time with effect for the future by opening “Cookie settings” at the bottom of any page and choosing “Reject”. The Google Analytics cookies are then deleted. After twelve months, we ask for your consent again.
Hosting and international transfers
This website is delivered through Vercel. Technical access data may therefore be processed by Vercel Inc. and its subprocessors. Processing may also take place in countries outside Switzerland or the European Economic Area. For these transfers, we require appropriate protection, in particular recognised safeguards such as standard contractual clauses.
Contacting us
If you contact us by email, we process the information you provide to answer your enquiry, assess a potential engagement and manage further correspondence.
We do not disclose your information to third parties for advertising. We share it only where necessary to handle your enquiry, where the law requires us to do so, or where you have consented.
Your rights
Subject to applicable data protection law, you may in particular request access to, correction, deletion, restriction or delivery of your personal data and withdraw consent. You may also lodge a complaint with a competent data protection authority. To exercise your rights, contact us at kontakt@valpex.ch.
Data security and changes
We use appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect personal data against loss, misuse and unauthorised access. Data transmitted through this website is encrypted.
We may update this Privacy Policy when our processing activities or the law changes. The version published on this website at the relevant time applies.
